Pertussis (Whooping Cough) Alert 5/15/12
A student at Walt Clark Middle School has been reported to have a suspected case of pertussis (also known as whopping cough) and may have been infectious and able to pass the infection to others. The student has been treated with antibiotics to stop further spread of the infection. Please see the Alert in the left navigation menu for more information.
Summer School (2012): Deadline to Enroll is June 1, 2012!
Thompson School District high school summer school for 2012 offers two options for students. One is for Credit Recovery utilizing PLATO. The second is for First-Time Credit courses utilizing Aventa. Both options will cost students, this year only, $100/course. Payment for both options will be handled through Monica Brundeen. Payment can be made as a check or cash taken to the Administration Building or online using a credit card. Enrollment for both options will be handled through Monica Brundeen and can be done online or manually completed on paper and taken to the Administration Building. Registration will be handled differently for each option. Once enrollment paperwork and payment are received, registration information will be given to the appropriate staff:
PLATO or Aventa. Time and place for both options will be different. Credit Recovery will be at the Administration Building in the PLATO lab during specific hours. First-Time Credit will be done off site. First-Time Credit courses for students to get ahead and have increased schedule flexibility will include an on-site face-to-face for orientation only. The 18 week course will be finished off-site within 9 weeks. Thompson Online will provide a mandatory orientation for students on Tuesday, June 5th, 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. OR 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Walt Clark Middle School (2605 Carlisle Drive, 80537).

Fall Semester Registration (2012-13): Applications due May 23, 2012!
If you are interested in having your child attend Thompson Online during the 2012-13 school year, please fill out the TOL Course Registration document in the left navigation menu and return it to us by May 23rd. You can fax the application to 970-613-5479, scan/email the application to thompsononline@thompsonschools.org, or you can mail the application to Thompson Online at 2605 Carlisle Drive, Loveland, CO 80537.
Current Students -- Do You Need To Arrange A Pre-Arranged Absence?
If a student anticipates an extended absence, the student must email the Thompson Online office at least 48 hours prior to the absence. Or, if a student is ill and/or unable to work, please email us. Our email address is: thompsononline@thompsonschools.org.

Thompson Online offers credit recovery classes for high school students. Available classes include:
- Language Arts: English I, English II, English III and English IV
- Math: Algebra I, Algebra II and Geometry
- Science: Biology, Earth Science and Physical Science
- Social Studies: American Government, American History, Geography and World History
- Other: Health, Physical Education, Spanish I and Economics
