Turner Middle School
Home of the Dragons
Set against the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains, Turner Middle School opened its doors in 1920 as Berthoud Jr./Sr. High School. In 1981, when the present high school was opened, the school was renamed Turner Jr. High and in 1988 renamed again as Turner Middle School. The school is named after Robert Turner who came to Loveland in 1969 to work as an administrator for Thompson Schools. Currently, Turner has an enrollment of 420 students in grades 6 - 8 and an operating staff of around 55 part-time and full-time employees.
