This is the last "dress up" affair for the 8th graders in the cafeteria.  It will be a time for applause, photos (and even a tear or two).  It's a dignified way for them to end their middle school career at Walt Clark.  Each student is honored at this ceremony.  Invitations will be sent out later in April - so mark your calendars.

 

The last dance of the school year is the 8th graders only and is on Friday, May 11, 7pm - 9pm. 

 

       WHAT THIS DANCE IS:

 

                      ** For 8th Graders at WCMS only

      

                      ** A "Farewell to Middle School "

 

                      ** A dress up dance

 

                      ** For couples, singles and mostly, just for friends!

 

                      ** A fun way to say "See you soon" and to have fun, dance, laugh, sing and dance some more....

 

                      ** A rocking DJ, great decorations and awesome food

 

        WHAT THIS DANCE IS NOT:

 

                      ** For students outside Walt Clark

 

                      ** A prom or "formal"

 

                      ** For limousine rentals, corsages, or fancy dinners (save that for high school)

 

                      ** An occasion for pricey hair appointmets, manicures, pedicures

 

                      ** For spending tons of $$$$$$$$ to have fun

      

        (And we knw we never have to remind 8th graders about grinding, tears, drama, etc.  Once you come to the dance, you stay at the dance.)

 

Students must be in attendance on the day of the dance unless an appointment is accompanied by a doctors note.

 

MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET ANY DISCIPLINE ACTION IN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS THAT WOULD KEEP YOU FROM ATTENDING THESE FUNCTIONS.
